ECONOMIC SECURITY AS A REFLECTION OF THE RANSPORT ENTERPRISE’S DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY
Abstract
The article is devoted to topical issues of assessing the level of enterprises’ economic security, in particular transport enterprises, as a reflection of the adopted development strategy. It is shown that in a turbulent economic environment, enterprises are forced to adjust their development strategies, implement anti-crisis measures, and increase the adaptability of management decisions to ensure economic security. A methodological approach to assessing the level of transport enterprises’ economic security is developed. It based on six main indicators that characterized the stability of their functioning and the level of security of key aspects of their activities, namely the growth intensity coefficient, the level of physical depreciation of fixed assets, the volume of capital investments, financial stability indicators, the level of staffing, and the company's market share. A scale of compliance with the effectiveness of the adopted development strategy of a transport enterprise from the standpoint of ensuring its economic security is proposed. It is shown that with a high level of economic security, it is advisable to focus on diversifying services, optimizing logistics processes, and increasing the efficiency of resource management within the framework of the adopted strategy. With an average level of economic security, the development strategy should be reviewed in a timely manner in order to increase efficiency, considering the dynamics of processes in the external environment. With a low level of economic security, the development strategy should focus on increasing financial stability by optimizing costs, attracting additional sources of financing, and improving the risk management system. With an unsatisfactory level of economic security, the first thing to do is to conduct a detailed analysis of the financial situation, identify the main threats, and develop a set of anti-crisis measures. This approach allows to determine the magnitude and directions of changes, as well as carry out a comprehensive assessment of the integral level of enterprises’ economic security.
