DIAGNOSTICS OF THE LEVEL OF AN ENTERPRISE’S ECONOMIC SECURITY IN NON-STATIONARY ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

The article is devoted to the topical issues of diagnosing the level of enterprises’ economic security in a non-stationary economic environment. It is shown that the modern economy is characterized by high dynamism, uncertainty and volatility, and the environment is characterized by non-stationarity. In such conditions, diagnostics becomes a key factor in ensuring the stability and competitiveness of enterprises. The main tasks of diagnosing the level of enterprises’ economic security are formulated, namely: identifying imbalances in the development of elements of the "enterprise – external environment" system, analyzing the reasons for the insufficient effectiveness of the enterprise's strategy and identifying its weaknesses, assessing the current position of the enterprise and forecasting its future, considering industry and global factors. It is determined that the greatest external influence on the level of security of enterprise functioning is the efficiency of public administration institutions, macroeconomic conditions and regulatory policy, in particular the level of availability of financial resources and the development of infrastructure. It is proposed to conduct diagnostics of the internal environment at three hierarchical levels (corporate, production, and structural). The corporate level involves studying the scale of production and the level of unit costs, the level of capitalization of income, the geographical and product coverage of the market, and the competitive position of the enterprise. The production level involves analyzing the ratio of profit to the total cost of sales, the ratio of the total cost of sales to the cost of unsold products, the ratio of the total cost of sales to tangible production inventories, the ratio of sales volume to the amount of receivables, etc. The structural level involves assessing labor productivity, proportionality of the development of functions and elements of the system, time and quality parameters of the performance of functions, etc. It is proposed to use certain tools for assessing the enterprise's activities at each level of diagnostics of the enterprise's internal environment.
