Abstract

The article explores creative tourist routes, which are more than just ordinary travel. Small towns are the largest group in the urban settlement system and play an important role in the territorial organization of society. The purpose of the article is to examine the features of creative tourist routes and their use as a tool for the development of small towns in Ukraine. These routes create fascinating narratives that reveal new perspectives and diversity of small towns in Ukraine. They can serve as an effective tool for the economic, cultural, and social development of regions that are often overlooked by mass tourism. Creative tourist routes are an opportunity for small towns to become visible, alive, and successful. The growing interest of external visitors in certain regions is driving tourism development, which gives small towns residents the opportunity to explore creative approaches to strengthening the sustainability and promotion of their communities. Creative tourism routes are emerging in different regions of Ukraine, offering authentic, creative and alternative tourism products. They focus on visiting non-standard sites that are of interest. The main idea is to create a unique experience that allows you to fully immerse yourself in the culture and identity of the chosen region. Creative tourist routes go beyond classical excursions and are based on local identity - the city's unique history, culture, and traditions; involvement of creative industries - art, crafts, gastronomy, music, theater, etc.; and active community participation - residents act as guides, craftsmen, and creators. Creative tourist routes include non-classical objects of interest. The key principle is to create a unique experience, immersing you in the culture and identity of the chosen area. Innovative concepts and cultural products help shape the region's unique image and attract tourists. The transformation of small towns into modern tourist centers is a complex and multifaceted task that can only be realized through the coordinated efforts of all stakeholders, both the local community and the state. Only such cooperation can lead to rapid and positive transformations.
