MANAGEMENT OF INNOVATIVE ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN UKRAINE: NEW VECTORS OF TRANSFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO WARTIME CHALLENGES AND POST-WAR ECONOMIC RECOVERY
Abstract
The article explores the transformation of innovative entrepreneurship in Ukraine in the context of the full-scale war and highlights new strategic vectors for its development during post-war recovery. The research analyzes the multidimensional challenges that entrepreneurs face, including infrastructure destruction, loss of markets, disrupted supply chains, internal displacement, and limited access to resources. These factors have led to significant shifts in business operations, requiring agile responses and approaches. The war has significantly reshaped the national economy and heightened the need for adaptive, resilient and innovative business models. Special attention is given to the new opportunities arising in this period of transformation: accelerated digitalization, dual-use technologies, the growing role of social entrepreneurship, and the emergence of cluster models integrating businesses, communities, public institutions, and international partners. These developments reflect a broader shift in entrepreneurial priorities – from profit maximization to the creation of social value, technological self-sufficiency, and contributions to national security. The article substantiates the strategic importance of innovation in driving long-term recovery, emphasizing its role in structural renewal and inclusive growth. It argues that Ukrainian entrepreneurship, under conditions of war, has demonstrated remarkable adaptability, creativity, and resilience, becoming a key driver of socio-economic modernization. The authors conclude that sustainable recovery requires comprehensive support for the institutional reforms, investment in human capital, development of venture capital infrastructure, and the integration of SMEs into global value chains and innovation ecosystems. Furthermore, the article emphasizes the necessity of a coherent policy framework to support entrepreneurship during and after the war, which would create the necessary conditions for the long-term sustainability of businesses and innovation-driven economic growth.
