FOREIGN EXPERIENCE IN DEVELOPING STRATEGIES FOR THE GROWTH OF CROWDFUNDING PLATFORMS

Abstract

This article is dedicated to the analysis of global crowdfunding practices and their potential adaptation to Ukraine’s economic landscape. Crowdfunding is considered an effective financial tool that leverages collective efforts and modern digital technologies to attract funds for social, charitable, and entrepreneurial initiatives. The study explores the development strategies, regulatory frameworks, and key trends in the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and several Asian countries. Special attention is paid to statistical data, including market volumes, the number of active platforms, and the most widespread crowdfunding models such as equity, lending, and reward-based crowdfunding. The article provides a detailed classification of crowdfunding types and highlights the impact of innovative technologies like artificial intelligence and mobile solutions on market growth. The research draws on the works of renowned scholars such as Jeff Howe, Ajay K. Agrawal, Ethan Mollick, O.S. Marchenko, L.M. Shvets, O.Z. Ugolkova, among others, whose contributions have significantly advanced the understanding of this phenomenon in both global and Ukrainian contexts. The study is particularly interesting in its examination of the elements and conditions necessary for the successful implementation of crowdfunding projects. Various aspects are considered, from the effective attraction of investors to the support of projects at all stages of their implementation. The author also emphasizes the importance of creating a favorable legal and regulatory environment that will promote the development of crowdfunding within the national context. The study emphasizes the need for deeper examination of the structural elements and efficiency factors of crowdfunding systems under different economic conditions. Based on the analysis, the article formulates practical recommendations for integrating international best practices into the Ukrainian crowdfunding sector, aiming to enhance its effectiveness and sustainability.
