JUSTIFICATION OF THE FEASIBILITY OF IMPLEMENTING INDUSTRY 4.0 TO ENHANCE THE COMPETITIVENESS OF LOGISTICS ENTERPRISES IN THE CONTEXT OF CURRENCY REGULATION
Abstract
The article is devoted to justifying the feasibility of implementing the Industry 4.0 concept as a strategic direction for enhancing the international competitiveness of logistics enterprises in Ukraine. The integration of advanced digital technologies and automation tools at all stages of the supply chain is considered a key driver for improving operational efficiency, transparency, and adaptability under conditions of economic volatility. The relevance of this topic is linked to the increasing complexity of logistics processes and the urgent need for innovative solutions in global trade. Special attention is given to the transformative potential of intelligent systems such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, cloud computing, and robotics, which allow for real-time control, predictive planning, reduced human error, and increased service quality. These technologies significantly contribute to lowering costs, improving delivery reliability, and enhancing the resilience of logistics operations. In addition, the article addresses the challenges posed by the current system of currency regulation in Ukraine, including exchange rate fluctuations and legal limitations on cross-border financial transactions. It is argued that digitalization plays a crucial role in overcoming these risks by increasing financial transparency and responsiveness. Based on the conducted analysis, strategic measures are proposed to ensure successful digital transformation in the logistics sector. These include investing in digital infrastructure, developing digital competencies, fostering a culture of innovation, and aligning technological initiatives with the enterprise’s strategic goals. Moreover, the importance of forming cross-sectoral cooperation and public-private partnerships is highlighted as a critical condition for scaling digital logistics solutions. The implementation of these approaches is expected to improve the adaptability and competitiveness of Ukrainian logistics companies in the international arena.
