THE ROLE OF OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT IN FORMING ETHICAL BUSINESS STANDARDS
Abstract
The article is devoted to the role of operations management in the formation of ethical standards of business. The article examines the definition of operations management. The concept of «operations management» for operations management is generalized and supplemented. Operations management groups in operations management are studied. The algorithm in operations management is analyzed. The concepts of operations management are studied. The author in the study emphasizes the priority of labor resources for operations management. The functions of operations managers in the organization are studied. The management groups in operational management are studied: development and implementation of operational activities; development and implementation of the operating system. The function of operational management is studied: planning and control of the current functioning of the operating system. The planning function in operational management affects the choice of the goal, tools and mechanisms for its achievement. The importance of the organizational function of operational management for the clarity of task performance, the relationship between performers and units of the operating system and increasing work efficiency is studied. The main tasks assigned to functions in operational management are grouped. The methods of operational management for practical application are studied. The effectiveness of socio-psychological methods in the managerial activities of a businessman is assessed. Two concepts of operational management are studied, which are divided into a systemic approach - general systems theory and life cycle theory. The achievements of the operational manager in managerial activities are studied. Ethical and legal criteria in human managerial activities and their limits are studied. Problems of an ethical and legal nature are studied. The concepts of «entrepreneur», «business person», «businessman», «merchant» are studied. Ethical and legal criteria of business are studied. Ethical criteria of civilized entrepreneurship are studied. Cases of uncivilizedness of businessmen in Ukrainian consciousness are analyzed.
