MIGRATION FLOWS FROM UKRAINE: ECONOMIC AND DEMOGRAPHIC CHALLENGES

Abstract

Over the past decades, many Ukrainians have moved abroad in search of better working conditions, which has both positive and negative consequences for the country's economic stability. The topic of the impact of labor migration on the economic stability of Ukraine is extremely relevant in the context of modern economic and social changes. The growth in the number of Ukrainian labor migrants significantly affects the labor market, social sphere and overall economic development of the country. This article presents the results of the main factors that stimulate labor migration from Ukraine, and also assesses its consequences for the economy, in particular the impact on the level of employment, wages, as well as on the social structure of the population. One of the key aspects of the research is to examine the positive and negative consequences of labor migration, such as remittances, which are important for the country's economy, and the shortage of qualified personnel in strategic sectors. The article also highlights the prospects for the reintegration of migrants into the socio-economic life of Ukraine and the need to develop an effective policy aimed at preserving human resources, attracting remittances to investments in economic development, and protecting the rights of labor migrants. The results of the study should serve as the basis for developing recommendations to minimize the negative effects of labor migration and increase the economic stability of Ukraine in the context of globalization. Ukrainian labor migration to the Republic of Poland has become one of the most important socio-economic and geopolitical phenomena of recent decades. Behind this process are not only the aspirations of individuals to improve their lives and get a decent job, but also complex factors that determine the economic, political and social situation in both Ukraine and Poland. The growing number of Ukrainian citizens choosing Poland for labor migration has a significant impact on both countries. This phenomenon causes a whole range of socio-economic consequences that directly affect the life and development of both nations. The Ukrainian population is currently the largest and most important employment group among immigrants in Poland.
