THE STOCK MARKET OF UKRAINE AS A TOOL FOR FINANCING INNOVATIONS IN THE AGRO-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX IN THE CONTEXT OF A CIRCULAR ECONOMY
Abstract
The article examines the stock market of Ukraine, analyzing the role of bonds and venture funds in attracting investment for the development of the agricultural sector. The key challenges and issues faced by the Ukrainian corporate bond market are identified. Recommendations are provided for improving the regulatory framework and creating a favorable investment climate. The corporate bond market and the path of companies, including agroholdings, in raising funds through the stock market are explored. The study also examines international experience in utilizing the stock market to attract capital for Ukrainian agricultural companies whose shares are listed on foreign exchanges. Special attention is paid to the influence of green financial instruments, such as green bonds, on the way towards sustainable agricultural technology. The study focuses on the ability of venture capital to drive innovation, namely precision farming, agriculture robotics, and renewable energy. It also examines the contribution of institutional investors to financing Ukrainian agriculture business and how foreign investors can contribute to the development of Ukraine's agrarian economy. In addition, the article discusses the necessity of developing effective financial instruments appropriate for the needs of agricultural companies and views the securitization of agricultural assets as a means of enhancing liquidity. Besides, the research assesses the impact of global trends, including climate change policy and green investment strategy, on Ukraine's agricultural sector and financial markets. It formulates strategic directions for the development of Ukraine's stock market to facilitate long-term capital mobilization and enhance the competitiveness of agricultural business. The findings suggest that a well-functioning stock market, supported by a transparent regulation system and sophisticated financial instruments, can contribute significantly to the sustainable development of Ukraine's agro-industrial complex.
