STRATEGIC WAYS OF DIVERSIFYING MARKETS FOR UKRAINIAN AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS
Abstract
Agriculture is the leading direction of the Ukrainian agrarian economy, the products of which are the basis of Ukrainian exports to other countries of the world. The priority export directions are currently the export of grain and oilseeds, mainly to European countries, which for many years has allowed Ukraine to maintain its leading role in international markets. However, under current conditions, it is important to ensure the diversification of sales of Ukrainian agricultural products, which will increase the level of competitiveness of Ukrainian agricultural products and ensure the improvement of the current state of the agricultural sector. The purpose of the article: to determine the main aspects of strategic directions for the diversification of sales markets for Ukrainian agricultural products in conditions of a full-scale war as a key direction for the development of the agricultural sector of Ukraine. First of all, it was determined that the current state of Ukrainian agricultural exports is characterized by the following features: a reduction in export volumes since the beginning of the war due to constant enemy shelling and the destruction caused by them, deterioration of logistics - problems in transporting Ukrainian agricultural products, as well as a gradual restoration of export volumes and a record level of exports in 2024. It was established that the leaders in imports of Ukrainian agricultural products are countries in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Strategic directions for diversifying the sales of Ukrainian agricultural products under modern conditions were determined: increasing exports to European countries, expanding sales markets in Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, increasing exports of potatoes, organic products, and egg industry products. To ensure optimal development of exports in these areas, state actions aimed at concluding the necessary agreements and supporting producers are important. Thus, these areas of market diversification will make it possible to improve the current state of Ukrainian agricultural exports.
