METALLURGICAL COMPLEX OF UKRAINE: DYNAMICS AND PROSPECTS OF INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the metallurgical complex of Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to study the metallurgical complex of Ukraine, namely the dynamics and prospects of its innovative development. The number of enterprises by types of economic activity is analyzed and studied. The volume of sold products of metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine is substantiated and studied. The article studies the cost of fixed assets of metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine. The export and import indicators of metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine are analyzed. The work substantiates and studies the dynamics of industrial production indices of metallurgical enterprises. Short-term prospects for the development of the metallurgical sector remain unfavorable due to the lack of sources of growth, limited external and internal markets, hostilities in Ukraine and the slowdown of the world economy. In order to determine the impact of macroeconomic factors on the innovative capabilities of metallurgical enterprises, an analysis of expert assessments was carried out using the method of paired comparisons based on multidimensional ranking. The article states that the state and dynamics of the development of the metallurgical complex of Ukraine is an industry filter that determines the innovative capabilities of the metallurgical complex of Ukraine and contributes to increasing their competitiveness in the Ukrainian market. The mismatch between metal processing technologies and the production of the finished product is one of the main problems that hinder the development of the industry at the current stage. It is obvious that without attracting foreign investment, the transition of the industry to modern production processes will be impossible, since the financial resources of companies will not be enough to implement such large-scale projects. It is noted and substantiated that the short-term prospects for the development of the metallurgical sector remain unfavorable due to the lack of sources of growth, limited external and internal markets, hostilities in Ukraine and the slowdown in the world economy.
