ECONOMIC ESSENCE AND ANALYSIS OF THE DOMESTIC FINANCIAL INVESTMENT MARKET
Abstract
The paper examines the dynamics of foreign direct investment volumes attracted to the domestic economy through the mechanism of debt financial instruments, as well as financial instruments of capital participation. The features of the functioning of the domestic securities market are analyzed, the dynamics of receipts, withdrawals and balances of foreign direct investment in the domestic economy for 2002-2023 are studied. The classification difference between financial and non-financial investments is given depending on the investment object, purpose, liquidity, risk and management features. The current investment climate of the domestic economy is studied, the dynamics of investments in domestic government loan bonds that are in circulation at nominal and amortized cost among non-residents and resident legal entities in the period from 2010 to 2023 fiscal years are analyzed. The advantages for investors from investing in domestic government loan bonds in comparison with other securities, including private sector of the economy. Also, the shortcomings of the functioning of the domestic securities market in the context of the slowdown of domestic economic processes due to the prevalence of domestic government bonds over private sector securities in the domestic market are characterized. The dynamics of the distribution of foreign direct investment balances by sectoral orientation of the national economy attracted through financial instruments of equity participation and debt financial instruments are analyzed. The sectors of the national economy with the largest foreign direct investment balances at the end of the corresponding research period and the volume of their receipts from 2019 to 2023 fiscal years are determined. The current status and dynamics of the distribution of attracted foreign direct investments in equity and debt financial instruments of the domestic economy were studied in terms of countries of the world and the total volumes of member states of the European Union, and the countries with the largest amount of foreign direct investment balances at the end of the corresponding reporting year and the volumes of their receipts for the 2019-2023 fiscal years were identified.
