CAPITAL MANAGEMENT OF AN ENTERPRISE: THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL ASPECTS

Abstract

The article is devoted to highlighting the theoretical and practical aspects of enterprise capital management. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the theoretical foundations and develop recommendations for improving enterprise capital management. It is determined that the enterprise capital management system consists of a capital formation management subsystem, a capital use management subsystem and a functional subsystem. The essence of the concept of "enterprise capital management" is specified. The goal, objectives and principles of enterprise capital management are highlighted. The main stages of the enterprise capital management process are characterized. The composition and structure of the enterprise capital are analyzed, and the financial structure of the enterprise capital is assessed based on the calculation of financial stability indicators. According to the results of the analysis, the enterprise has a crisis financial condition and is not provided with stable sources of financing for current financial and economic activities, and first of all, it experiences a lack of its own working capital. The need to improve the formation of an organizational and economic mechanism for capital management has been established, which should include organizational (measures for organization, management, changes in the organizational structure) and economic blocks (analysis, control and evaluation of activities), as well as goals, functions, methods, structures, subjects and objects of management. It has been determined that the mechanism for capital management at the studied enterprise should include such elements as: subjects and objects of the formation and use of the enterprise's capital; the purpose of the formation and use of the enterprise's capital; goals and objectives of the enterprise's capital management; the sequence of stages of implementation and use of the enterprise's capital management system (or the process of formation and use of capital); a set of principles that ensure the formation of a sufficient amount of capital and its use; functions of capital formation; a provision system; capital management tools (methods, methods of implementation, levers).
