THE INFLUENCE OF CUSTOMS REGULATION ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF FOREIGN ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES

Abstract

Customs policy has a significant impact on the management of foreign economic activity, as it determines the forms and methods of its implementation. Customs regulation is one of the fundamental tools that forms the development of foreign economic relations, because it directly affects trade conditions, attracting investment and economic integration of countries into global markets. Customs poltityka is a system category that requires the implementation of many functions of control systems. Through the introduction of scientifically based economic and political measures, the state has the opportunity to regulate export-import flows of goods and services, which is of particular relevance in conditions of trade wars, global challenges and prospects for the development of markets in different regions of the world. The study focuses on the specifics of customs regulation and customs policy, which is an integral part of foreign economic activity in the context of globalization and integration processes. The stages of formation of the customs regulation system and formation of its own customs policy both at the global and national levels are analyzed. It outlines modern problems faced by subjects of foreign economic activity during customs procedures and conducting foreign economic activity. The main components of customs regulation as a hierarchical structure, foreign economic activity of Ukraine, which require standardization and unification of regulatory instruments, are investigated. The study analyzed the current customs regimes, assessed the impact of customs rates and procedures on trade flows, and identified the main directions of reforming the customs system. On the basis of the determined results of the study, it is concluded that in order to increase the efficiency of customs regulation, it is necessary to simplify customs procedures, strengthen measures to combat smuggling and harmonize national customs legislation with international norms. Practical application of the research results will improve the conditions for the development of foreign trade and integration of Ukraine's economy into world markets.
