SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES OF THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE LABOR MARKET OF THE CARPATHIAN REGION IN THE CONTEXT OF RECONSTRUCTION
Abstract
The article analyzes the transformation of the labor market in the Carpathian region against the background of military operations and massive population displacement as a complex socio-economic phenomenon that significantly changes the conditions of employment and adaptation of internally displaced persons (IDPs). A significant influx of IDPs increases competition for jobs, creates new challenges for local labor markets, and creates the need to develop national and regional employment support policies. Under these conditions, it is important to assess the consequences of the labor market transformation and develop effective measures aimed at integrating IDPs into the regional economy. The main purpose of the article is to study the social and economic consequences of changes in the labor market of the Carpathian region in the context of reconstruction caused by population displacement and socio-economic instability. The study focuses on the analysis of changes in the structure of employment, social consequences of IDP integration, and the development of recommendations for adapting the regional labor market to post-war conditions. The study analyzes the dynamics of growth in demand for jobs among IDPs and its impact on the structure of the labor market. The study showed that high competition between IDPs and the local population helps to accelerate retraining and create conditions for active participation in public and temporary work, which contributes to the stabilization of the social sphere. The main social challenges have been identified, including an increase in the level of social tension, the need for flexible forms of employment and the need to develop regional employment support programs. The results of the study can be used by government agencies and local authorities to develop measures aimed at reducing social tension, supporting employment and integrating IDPs. The recommendations proposed in this article can serve as a basis for the formation of a regional labor market development policy in the context of regional reconstruction and social stability.
