RECOMMENDATIONS FOR STUDYING THE EXPERIENCE OF EU MEMBER STATES AND FORECASTING THE STATE OF UKRAINE'S ECONOMY IN THE EVENT OF EU MEMBERSHIP

Abstract

Since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Europe has provided substantial financial support to Ukraine, offering hope that the EU will continue to support joint economic and social projects in the future. Studying both the positive and negative experiences of countries that have gained EU membership, as well as how they resolved their economic challenges, is crucial for Ukraine. The purpose of this article is to analyze the access of domestic scientists to comprehensive and reliable information for studying the experiences of EU member states within the context of Ukraine's European integration processes. Given the incomplete and contradictory information in periodicals, scientific publications, and statistical reports, it is advisable for Ukrainian experts studying the challenges of Ukraine's European integration to submit requests directly to the executive authorities of EU member states to obtain complete and reliable information tailored to their specific needs. To clarify the role of scientists in addressing economic and social issues, we recommend sending a request to the leadership of EU countries with stable economies, asking for information about who is directly involved in forecasting key economic performance indicators, what specific issues in this context are entrusted to economists, and how the state uses scientific developments by researchers on EU integration matters. We propose involving Ukrainian economists, analysts, and experts in a scientific project aimed at Ukraine's economic well-being and social security. The role of scientists in this project would be to justify the relevance and goals of Ukraine's economic development and social security, to systematize information from modern international information sources and periodicals, and to apply the advice of world-renowned analysts, businesspeople, and experts to achieve these goals. The project would involve developing proposals, providing scientific justification, and formulating measures and models for economic growth and social security. It would be appropriate to host the project's portal on the website of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine for submitting applications, public discussions, and monitoring the portal's progress.
