AGRO-TOURISM IN AUSTRIA: LESSONS FOR UKRAINE

Abstract

The article examines the place, significance, features and state of development of agritourism in Austria in the context of the possibilities of applying existing experience in Ukraine. It has been established that agritourism in Austria is of key importance for the development of rural areas and is one of the leading forms of diversification of the activities of agricultural producers and is quite common in different provinces of the country, using their characteristic recreational and tourist resources. There is a tendency to reduce the number of agritourism business entities while simultaneously increasing the quality of service for vacationers and other types of rural tourism in the village. Particular aspects of the development of agritourism deserve attention, in particular, the profile of the activities of agritourism entities, formed taking into account the individual needs of consumers, vertical zoning, the tourist attractiveness of the area and the specialization of farms, in particular, the selection of eight types of agrotourism farms. The successful organization and principles of the functioning of agritourism associations at the state, provincial and local levels, the peculiarities of their autonomy, participation, rights, duties and benefits of their members, differences in the categorization of agritourism objects, requirements for agritourism activities, in particular in terms of accommodation, are noted, exterior, tourist service. The development of agritourism is considered as a component of tourism, agriculture and rural areas on the basis of sustainable development, according to the Austrian National Tourism Strategy and the ÖPUL Agricultural Program. The peculiarities of expanding the range of agro-tourism products based on the introduction of innovations, the creation of a high-quality and unique comprehensive rural tourist offer, its distribution and promotion based on joint efforts and strengthening cooperation with entrepreneurial structures in the village, local self-government bodies and within the framework of associations and unions are being studied , clusters and obtaining joint benefits by providers of tourist services thanks to common interests and actions.
