STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF THE STANDARD OF LIVING OF THE POPULATION OF UKRAINE IN THE CONTEXT OF FINANCIAL SECURITY
Abstract
Ukraine is building a socially oriented market economy with an orientation to European standards, so the indicator of the efficiency of such an economy is the high standard of living of the population. The article systematizes the indicators that are used to analyze the standard of living of the country's population in the context of financial security and carries out their statistical analysis for the population of Ukraine. Changes in nominal and real GDP, the dynamics of changes in the consumer price index were studied. The dynamics of SD per person, the average monthly wage and the level of the subsistence minimum were evaluated. An analysis of the dynamics and structure of incomes was carried out, of which 59.8% are wages, which is significantly lower than in economically developed countries. Such a situation indicates the orientation of broad sections of the population to unregistered activities, and accordingly, the spread of shadow incomes, the growth of incomes of the working population from personal subsidiary farms and individual activities. When studying the growth rates of real and nominal wages, it is observed that the growth rates of real wages are much lower than the growth rates of nominal wages, which means that real incomes of the population differ from nominal ones. In the structure of total household expenses, almost all of the family's income is spent on consumption, namely on providing food products, as well as non-food products, which restrains the development of other expenses, in particular, on education, recreation, entertainment, savings, etc. All this leads to a decrease in the well-being of households, which, in turn, affects the inefficient formation and use of their financial resources. The authors also conducted an analysis of indicators that characterize the differentiation of the population by the level of well-being. The conclusions about the growing degree of inequality of income distribution between households are substantiated. Having assessed the financial component of the population's standard of living on the basis of the proposed system of aggregated value indicators, we came to the conclusion that the level of financial security of a person in Ukraine is quite low and unstable, far from EU standards.
