IMPLEMENTATION MECHANISM OF ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCES IN HOTEL ENTERPRISES

Abstract

The article considers the relevance of the introduction of alternative energy sources in the hotel business. This work explores the mechanisms of implementation of such energy sources as solar, wind, and geothermal in the hotel industry. The purpose of the study is to analyze the opportunities and challenges associated with the introduction of alternative energy sources in the hotel industry, with a special focus on identifying the most effective methods and technologies, their economic effectiveness, as well as analyzing the obstacles that may arise. The urgency of the topic is determined by the urgent need of the global hotel industry to move towards sustainable development. Reducing carbon emissions and dependence on traditional energy sources are critical goals to increase environmental responsibility and ensure long-term stability in the industry. The study is based on the use of an integrated approach, including analytical methods, statistical and expert. The results of the study confirm that the integration of alternative energy sources can significantly reduce operational costs of hotels, improve their image in society and reduce the impact on the environment. It was also found that the main obstacles are high initial investment and lack of legislative support. The article provides practical recommendations for hotels on the choice and implementation of alternative energy sources, emphasizes the need to develop integrated strategies that include not only technological innovations, but also marketing, organizational and legal aspects. The benefits of state support and international cooperation in this area are also considered, which can become a catalyst for wider adoption of sustainable practices in the hotel business. The recommendations are based on the analysis of current trends, studies of the effectiveness of various energy solutions and their compliance with specific operating conditions in the hotel industry.
