MATERIAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT AS A SUB-PROJECT OF A SHIPPING COMPANY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
Abstract
The article is devoted to the management of material resources as a sub-project of the development of a shipping company. The peculiarities of the resource provision subproject of any applied direction were investigated and summarized. Three categories of material and technical resources are distinguished, the essence of their use is differentiated depending on the nature of their participation in the project throughout the entire life cycle and their future withdrawal from the project depending on the category to which the resource belongs. Each of the actions necessary to achieve the goals of the sub-project belongs to a certain group of project management processes, but in our opinion, the composition of the identified processes should be supplemented, which was proposed in this study. Resource provision, which is an important condition for the implementation of any type of economic activity, acquires a special meaning in the processes of project management. Project activity, in comparison with established production processes, requires the determination of a complex set of resources, their search and justification of the ways of obtaining them in accordance with strict time, quantity and quality limitations. Resource management is one of the main subsystems of project management, since resources are everything that a project has, including material, labor, information and financial aspects. Ensuring their optimal use to achieve the ultimate goal is one of the main tasks of project management. The article investigated and summarized the features of the sub-project of resource provision of any applied direction, and identified three categories of material and technical resources, the essence of the use of which differentiates depending on the nature of their participation in the project throughout the entire life cycle and their future withdrawal from the project depending on from the category to which the resource belongs.
