SCIENTIFIC APPROCHES TO THE ASSESSMENT OF TRADE RELATIONS OF UKRAINE AND THE MIDDLE EAST COUNTRIES

Abstract

The article discusses the scientific approaches for appraising Ukraine's trade dynamics with Middle East countries, focusing on key influencers and enhancing future collaboration. It is vital for Ukraine's strategic economic planning, particularly under current geopolitical shifts and post-conflict recovery. Priorities include attracting foreign investment and creating strong bilateral partnerships, pivotal for Ukraine’s global standing and economic stability. Enhancing cooperation with Middle Eastern countries promises to support Ukraine’s economic, political, and social sectors. Given the region's instability and Ukraine’s security scenario, risk management and strategic planning are essential to maintain beneficial trade relationships. Given the political and economic instability in some Middle Eastern regions and military actions in Ukraine, risk analysis and strategy determination for minimizing them are crucial to ensure the stability and predictability of mutually beneficial trade relations. The development of Ukraine’s trade relations with Middle Eastern countries necessitates a thorough analysis of the legal framework, infrastructural capabilities, logistical and customs procedures, requiring the refinement of scientific approaches to evaluate existing cooperation mechanisms. The proposed methodology and evaluation approach of the quality and prospects of trade links between Ukraine and Middle Eastern states will help create a classification of countries most attractive for partnership. Moreover, it will track the influence of parameters and the implementation of tools that have led to the activation or deceleration of bilateral relations development. Following the proposed development of scientific approaches to evaluating trade cooperation, the authors intend to continue their research in this academic field, focusing specifically on analyzing Ukraine's cooperation with Middle Eastern countries and identifying the main trends and challenges in trade relations between our country and the Middle Eastern region. Formulating recommendations for government authorities and business on optimizing and expanding trade cooperation holds significant importance in this work.
