MICRO-CREDIT AS A PREREQUISITE FOR THE POST-WAR RECOVERY OF THE TOURISM BUSINESS IN UKRAINE
Abstract
The article is devoted to substantiating the possibilities and mechanisms of microcredit to ensure the post-war recovery of small and medium-sized tourism businesses in Ukraine. The relevance of the study is determined by the specifics of the current crisis period of the development of the tourism sector of Ukraine in the conditions of the exit from the COVID-19 pandemic and the beginning of a full-scale war, which led to the growth of financial security risks of tourist enterprises and the need to find mechanisms for their minimization. Microcredit provides financial support to small and medium-sized enterprises, which often experience difficulties accessing traditional bank loans. This is especially important for post-war recovery when the national economy will be in a state of rehabilitation. Methods of analysis of literary and informational sources, generalization, and structural-logical methods were used. The indicators and trends of the development of Ukraine's tourist industry in the war conditions are analyzed in detail. Prospects and problems of developing Ukraine's tourism business in crisis conditions are highlighted. The role and mechanisms of microcredit as a factor of additional financial support for developing small and medium-sized tourist businesses in the conditions of post-war recovery are substantiated. The peculiarities of microcredit programs in Ukraine's private and state banks are analyzed. A structural and logical scheme for obtaining a loan from partner banks of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund from small and medium-sized enterprises in Ukraine has been developed. It was concluded that Ukraine's government and financial institutions should urgently consider improving existing development and implementing new flexible microcredit programs to support small and medium-sized businesses in the tourism industry. The practical significance of the research results lies in their use as recommendations for tourism enterprises, banking institutions, and authorities regarding improving lending processes for small and medium-sized tourism businesses in Ukraine.
