EMPLOYMENT OF STUDENTS: PRE-WAR STUDIES
Abstract
The employment of students outside the educational process is a long-standing and special practice for the domestic student body, which, unfortunately, has not received sufficient scientific justification. Controversial approaches to this problem on the part of interested parties do not contribute to the adoption of productive and rational decisions. The proposed article the values, priorities and characteristic features of the behavior of students, as a special group of young people, in labor relations, reveals the essence and features, positive and negative aspects of students' work while studying at a higher education institution, the participation of students in the modern domestic labor market, their perception of secondary employment within and outside the framework of the educational process is clarified, the state of their labor is determined employment in view of permanent or temporary work, coordination of these processes with the time of study, distribution by spheres of activity, correspondence of the place of work to the specialty they acquire. The existing differences were evaluated and regularities were established regarding the processes of student employment in terms of year of study and gender, the dependence of the relationship to work during study and employment itself. Separate opinions of respondents on this issue are presented. In the article, the issues under consideration are investigated on the basis of a survey of students of higher education institutions of Ukraine in the pre-war period. Studies have shown the lack of necessary departments in educational institutions that would contribute to the development of student entrepreneurship, deal with the employment of students during their studies, in particular, the inadequacy of the information and communication work of existing institutions. Separate proposals are offered for improving the process of secondary employment of students of higher education institutions of Ukraine - finding compromise solutions that would satisfy the interests of all participants in the system: educational institution-student-enterprise.
