THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL BASIS OF THE ANALYSIS OF THE CONCEPT «TIME MANAGEMENT»
Abstract
The article is devoted to classical techniques of time management, which are most in demand in labor activity nowadays. Time management is a direction of improving the organization of work and increasing the efficiency of the activity of both an individual employee and the enterprise as a whole. Also, recently, time management has become an integral part of life for those people who want to get rid of excessive workloads and lack of time. The main components of time management are defined, in particular: the ability to set goals; plan one's activities; develop self-control skills, the ability to independently assess the success of one's actions; account for time consumption, and the ability to effectively use all available time reserves. The constant increase of information, globalization processes, and non-renewable time resource determine the prominent place of time management as a skill that is extremely necessary for a modern worker, and also as an important tool for improving the efficiency of the enterprise in general. This investigation is aimed at analyzing the main technologies of time management and identifying problems that prevent an effective manager from increasing labor productivity. Therefore, the following approaches to the rational use of time are disclosed in the article: the Pareto principle, the Eisenhower Matrix, the Franklin Method, the Franklin Pyramid, the ABCDE Method, the Personal Efficiency Program, and the Getting Things Done. Within the framework of this investigation, further development of the main categories of effective time management took place, in particular, the concept of "time management" is described, and the importance of using main time management techniques for a successful manager in modern conditions is substantiated. The author's approach to their interpretation is proposed. The analysis of the theoretical foundations of time management, in particular, the main approaches of modern scientists and practitioners to time management, made it possible to identify problems that prevent productive and efficient use of time. Ways to overcome these problems are proposed on the basis of the conducted research.
