ENTREPRENEURSHIP AS A MULTIPLIER OF BUSINESS ACTIVITY IN STRATEGIC PRIORITY AREAS OF THE NATIONAL ECONOMY, REGION AND TERRITORIAL COMMUNITY

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is a phenomenon that combines the practical sphere of activity with the necessity and expediency of researching its theoretical depth. The purpose of the study is to deepen the theoretical content of entrepreneurship based on the study of its functional load within the strategic spheres of economic development. The study showed that entrepreneurship should be considered as a tool for the formation of current and strategic competitive advantages for the business itself, for the territorial community, for the region and the national economy. Modern scientific thought outlines the following functions of entrepreneurship: organizational function, resource function, and creative-innovative function. The conducted research allows us to state that entrepreneurship performs another strategically important function – the function of a multiplier, that means the following: it increases the activation of activities in related sectors of the economy. We believe and sure that the best result will be obtained by integrating strategic activities within one entrepreneurial actor. Thus, in Zakarpattia Oblast, as well as in other regions of Ukraine, tourism and agriculture are strategically selected. It is proved statistically that tourism and agriculture are the important strategic branches pf the world economy. That is why these areas that give the greatest multiplicative result can be prioritized. Therefore, the integration of agriculture in the form of farming and tourism within the framework of one entrepreneurial actor allows the latter to perform the function of a multiplier, which creates a synergy effect. Synergy in the context of this research is a phenomenon that reflects the combined impact of entrepreneurship in tourism with entrepreneurship-farming, that is, the result of their joint activity will be higher than the sum of the results of activities separately in tourism and separately in agriculture. In other words, business, community, region, country get an additional result without additional costs. Thus, the synergy effect is a strategic competitive advantage.
