PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AGRICULTURAL BUSINESS IN UKRAINE DURING WAR

Abstract

The article studies the prospects for the development of the Ukrainian agricultural business in the conditions of war. We have studied that Ukraine occupies a significant share in the export of agricultural products and is one of the largest exporters in the world. Ukraine is one of the world's largest exporters of grain and oil, and a third of the world's population depends on their exports. It was the war in 2022 that led to an increase in prices for agricultural products and caused concern around the world. The food security of not only Ukraine, but the world countries was violated by Russia's aggression and led to the concern of the world community about the future of the agricultural market. Next, we studied the dynamics of exports of agricultural products from Ukraine and determined that despite the war, our farmers continued to export and provide the countries of the world with their grain. We have studied the structure of exports and identified countries where our country exported more agricultural products. Government support was an important step for the development of the agricultural business during the war. The Ukrainian government has introduced a number of programs to stimulate agricultural production, realizing that it is necessary to fight the enemy not only with weapons, but also economically. The Ukrainian government managed to introduce state programs to stimulate the development of agrarian business and provide all kinds of support to domestic farmers. The main task assigned to Ukrainian farmers is the restoration of the Ukrainian economy, and in 2022 it must be completed in full. There was also support from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, whose actions contributed to the acceleration of export procedures and clearance of products. As a result, we investigated that it is innovations that will form the key basis for the development of the agricultural business in the conditions. Innovative technologies not only speed up processes, but also optimize costs. On the part of the Ukrainian government, a number of works need to be done, because the agricultural business is one of the key in the structure of exports and accumulates a large amount of revenues to the state budget.
