WINE TOURISM OF CHILE: CURRENT STATE, PROJECTS IMPLEMENTATION, INNOVATIONS, PERSPECTIVES

винний туризмThe article is devoted to the wine tourism of Chile, its current state and features, which includes the implementation of different projects, innovations, strategies of various levels. The purpose of the study is to outline the modern Chilean wine tourism functional structure, in particular the geographical (territorial), component and management (organizational) structure. And also, to reveal the peculiarities of Chilean wine tourism, development factors, problems and prospects of the industry. The article’s relevance lies in the fact that today there are no domestic (in Ukrainian) publications that provide an up-to-date comprehensive description of wine tourism in South American countries, particularly Chile. The experience of the country, despite the difference in resource provision, can be relevant for Ukraine as well. For a long time, wine tourism remained "Europe-centric", both from a scientific and a practical point of view. Most of the scientific works studied the experience of European countries, and tour operators organize trips to the classic wine-producing countries of the Old World. Therefore, an in-depth study of Chile – a successful country that is in the top-10 world rankings in many positions – is very relevant. The research was conducted using general scientific methods and approaches – historical, analysis, synthesis, comparison, analogies, etc. Special attention is paid to the analysis of statistical data, their mutual correlation and graphic display. Obtained results: the modern features of Chilean wine tourism were identified and outlined, in particular, historical prerequisites, resource base, development factors, modern structure of tourist offer, features of demand, territorial organization (regions, subregions, appellations, roads), infrastructure, features of strategies implementation and realizing on various levels, problems and prospects of the industry. Chilean case wine tourism development vectors that can be used in Ukraine are singled out. The practical value of the article is that it can be used not only by scientists for further research and compilation of successful projects, but also by tour operators or independent tourists to develop travel routes.
