FEATURES OF THE APPLICATION OF PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT METHODS UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF MARITAL STATE
Abstract
The article is devoted to topical issues of the application of personnel management methods in wartime conditions in Ukraine. Factors affecting the personnel of Ukrainian enterprises in 2021-2023 are summarized: introduction of martial law; threat to life and safety; high level of anxiety; movement restrictions; decrease in economic activity; quarantine 2019-2021. General recommendations regarding strategies and methods of personnel management in the conditions of martial law are offered. The author outlines several key recommendations, including the need for effective personnel planning and development, motivation and recognition, safety and security measures, communication, and flexibility and adaptability. In particular, the text emphasizes the importance of having qualified and trained personnel capable of carrying out tasks effectively, as well as providing adequate support and recognition to maintain motivation during periods of prolonged stress and danger. The need for organizations to implement safety measures and communication protocols to minimize risks to personnel in conflict zones were also highlighted. Ultimately, the author argues that a proactive and adaptive approach to personnel management is essential for organizations operating in challenging and rapidly changing conflict environments. These recommendations are considered on the example of JSC Raiffeisen Bank, which organized the relocation of its employees and their families abroad (over 5000 people) or to a safe territory within the country (according to the employee's choice) since the beginning of the war. Employees from occupied territories were transferred to other structural units, thus supporting them. The bank further developed its remote support department (contact centre, chats). Special instructions on behaviour in hazardous conditions were created, and training was conducted for employees on providing first aid and evacuation. Additional bonuses and rewards were introduced for high job performance and participation in social projects related to peacekeeping and support for the military. These measures helped to maintain employee motivation and increase their loyalty to the company. The results of a survey of employees’ involvement after the correction of the strategy and methods of personnel management confirmed a high level of engagement (73%) and a desire to improve customer service (6% higher than the previous year). The recommendations to increase the motivation of employees and maintain the psychological state of personnel during the war, taking into account the needs of generations X and Y, Z, are offered by authors.
