FINANCIAL SECURITY OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES OF UKRAINE IN THE CONDITIONS OF THE LEGAL REGIME OF MARTIAL LAW

Abstract

Agricultural business is an important strategic branch of the domestic national economy, which is the basis of food and financial security of Ukraine and the world as a whole. Today, there are many risks and threats caused by the start of a full-scale war, which provokes danger for economic entities in the agricultural sector. The purpose of the article is to diagnose the current state of financial security of agricultural enterprises of Ukraine in the conditions of the legal regime of martial law, to outline threats to the internal and external environment of enterprises with the aim of forming measures to minimize such threats. Therefore, the chosen research topic is relevant and deserves the attention of researchers. The agricultural sector of Ukraine has many losses as a result of the war that began on February 24, 2022. It is obvious that in 2023 it is almost impossible to compensate for such losses. The results of the SWOT analysis of agricultural enterprises of Ukraine showed that the companies have not only weaknesses and threats, but also potential opportunities for development and expansion of production. Thus, they successfully use fertile black soils, permanent channels of product sales in the market, political support of agricultural producers during martial law. PEST analysis of agricultural enterprises showed that economic factors have the greatest influence. These include fluctuations in tariffs for energy carriers, fuel and other production resources, exchange rates and prices on the world market. Since these indicators directly affect the economic situation at the enterprise, it is necessary to constantly improve the pricing policy and look for ways to reduce costs at the enterprise. Understanding the existing risks, threats and opportunities will help determine development opportunities and implement an effective system of strategic management of the enterprise. Among the main ways of overcoming the negative impact of the war on agricultural enterprises of Ukraine are the creations of an alternative logistics network, expansion of bank lending to small and medium-sized businesses, use of funds from foreign investors, etc. Detailed development of measures to minimize identified threats to the financial security of agricultural enterprises requires further research.
