AGRO-TOURISM ACTIVITIES IN RURAL AREAS UNDER THE LAND MARKET LIBERALIZATION
Abstract
Modern changes in the rural economy of Ukraine and the impact of the land market liberalization on the farm activities, private entrepreneurs and united territorial communities open up new opportunities for them to diversify activities in rural areas by providing agro-tourism services, forming ethno-cultural and agro-tourism clusters. The article is devoted to issues of development of agro-tourism activities in rural areas in the conditions of land market liberalization. The research was conducted using such methods as the method of logical generalization, abstraction and concretization, deduction, statistical, analysis and synthesis. The authors analysed the essence of agritourism and its role for rural areas. Opportunities and prospects for peasant (farming) households in the field of agritourism under the influence of the land market liberalization and the characteristic features of agritourism in Ukraine are revealed. Through the land market, farmers have the opportunity to access financial resources and technical support to diversify activities and invest in higher value-added products. The authors claim that united territorial communities have the opportunity to dispose of state lands and use tools for local development under the conditions of the land market lliberalisation, ensuring the rational use of land resources, to protect ecologically vulnerable territories, which contributes to the development of responsible agritourism. Models for the development of agritourism in Ukraine by creating regional agrotourism clusters, specialized agrotourism facilities ("agritourism villages", "fishing", "hunting villages"), state and private agricultural parks as large multifunctional tourist, exhibition, advertising and exposition, cultural research and production complexes are offered. The main measures for the development of agritourism in rural areas amid the land market liberalization are proposed, which relate to the use of land resources, the formation of "smart farms", partnership relations between the public, local authorities and farmers, local brands of family farming business, increasing access to the latest digital technologies.
