MODERN METHODS OF INCREASING THE COMPETITIVENESS OF ENTERPRISES
Abstract
The article suggests that the main directions of the enterprise's competitiveness are the involment of resources and the implementation of its mission. The factors of external and internal influence have the main influence on the competitiveness of the enterprise. The factors of external influence on increasing the competitiveness of the enterprises are divided into national, regional and branch factors. The factors of internal influence on increasing the competitiveness of enterprises are divided into investment, resource and labor factors. Investment resources are capital investments aimed at the acquisition and modernization of the fixed assets of the enterprises, the introduction of the latest production technologies and the increase of intangible assets. The availability of raw resources in the process of increasing the competitiveness of enterprises, is realized with the access to scarce or basic resources. The competitiveness of the enterprise in the labor market is determined by its ability to attract the best professionals. The main indicators of the company's attractiveness in the labor market are the salary level, the company's reputation on the market, and the corporate culture factors. In order to attract labor resources, the enterprise needs to develop its social infrastructure, which is mostly formed by the external (regional) factors. The unsatisfactory condition of the social infrastructure can lead to the outflow of labor resources from the regional labor market, which will negatively affect the competitiveness of the enterprise. The salary level of the enterprise plays the great role, which should be competitive compared to the salary level at other similar enterprises in the region. A high level of the competition between suppliers and manufacturers is usually beneficial to the enterprise, because it is assured to rid the market of the inefficient manufacturers, and, as a rule, leads to an increase in quality and a decrease in prices in this market. Due to the difference in the company's goals, it is impossible to use one economic criterion for evaluating efficiency and competitiveness. Thus, for manufacturing enterprises, the indicator of the efficiency can be the wage fund, for trading enterprises it is the obtained profit, and the indicator of the added value can be used to compare these enterprises. For a state-owned enterprise there is no ability to change the price of goods or services, the efficiency indicator will be the level of costs per unit of production, and the added value indicator will not reflect efficiency.
