DIALECTICS OF THE GREEN ECONOMY DEVELOPMENT IN THE CONTEXT OF GLOBALIZATION

Abstract

The purpose of the paper is to improve and develop theoretical and methodological approaches to the “green economy” development in the age of global change. An in-depth analysis of the modern interpretations of the definition of “green economy” was carried out. It was substantiated that the dialectic of the “green economy” concept comes from the ideas of several branches of philosophy, economics, and mathematical theory. It was found that “green economy” involves the search for innovative approaches to environmentally oriented global economic development, with the environment, social effects, and sustainable economic development as its top priorities. Certain “global” features inherent in the “green economy” were pointed out. It was established that the methodology and selection of methodological tools for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the implementation of the “green economy” concept are based on a clear relationship between the processes of learning about the development of the “green economy” and the corresponding economic calculations. It was noted that evaluation systems and international rankings are used to assess and measure the practical implementation of the concept of “green economy” development, which determine the level of competitiveness of countries based not only on economic growth indicators but also on environmental and social development. It was established that existing threats and global challenges necessitate the transformation of economic models for the development of national economies due to the introduction of a new system of social values that should be based on natural resources and environmental protection. It was emphasized that “climate modernization” and the implementation of recovery principles, such as broad access to the G7 and EU markets for national goods, extensive development of the military-industrial complex, export of products from the agricultural sector and metallurgical industry, and rapid growth of the energy industry and logistics based on the “green economy” principles, are the main ideas behind the transformation of the national economy in the post-war period. It was determined that the “green economy” has a key role in national security, influences investment attractiveness for the international business community, and creates an environmental component of Ukraine’s positive image.
