FORMATION OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND FINANCIAL LITERACY AS A FOUNDATION OF ECONOMIC EDUCATION OF SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN

Abstract

The article considers modern approaches and socio-pedagogical determinants of the formation of entrepreneurial competence and financial literacy, external to pedagogical theory and practice factors in social order, politics, ideology, economics, traditions, common culture of state and society, influencing the development of new pedagogical activities. in the field of financial education. Based on the analysis of statistical indicators of the current financial situation among the population in Ukraine revealed a relatively low level of knowledge, lack of key competencies in personal finance related to the idea of saving money, lending and insurance in the financial market, safe investing, tax discipline, adequate assessment of financial risks, it is established that in the field of financial behavior for Ukrainians are characterized by paternalism, lack of a pillow of financial security, negative attitude to wealth, ignorance of tools for choosing financial institutions, unwillingness to use financial services. It is studied that the formation of financial literacy, due to new socio-economic conditions, regulatory space, change of values, contributes to financial well-being, comprehensive growth, increasing the stability of financial systems and the economy as a whole. The article proves that the formation of financial literacy and entrepreneurial competence in students gives positive results, because with proper personal finance management a young person will be able to make smart decisions, form correct financial and entrepreneurial habits and use their knowledge in practice. The conditions of effective formation of entrepreneurship and financial literacy of secondary school students are substantiated. It has been established that learning entrepreneurship, the right attitude towards money and financial markets should follow the raising of general culture and social responsibility, otherwise, focusing only on practical knowledge and its applied nature, we risk getting a "one-dimensional person" who, according to Western sociologist Herbert Marcuse, is only a consumer.
