FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC SECURITY OF THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND ITS IMPLEMENTATION
Abstract
The article identifies the features of financial and economic security of insurance companies in Ukraine in modern conditions. An integrated approach to clarifying the economic essence of the concept of economic and financial security of the insurance company. The main financial interest for the insurance company is given. The main legislative changes in the insurance market of Ukraine are indicated. The number of insurance institutions in the financial market in terms of "Life" and "non-Life" companies for the last 5 years is highlighted. It is noted that as of September 1, 2021, the total number of insurance companies was 169 units. The research calculates and characterizes the indicators of the state of financial and economic security of the insurance market of Ukraine. In particular, the following indicators are highlighted: insurance penetration rate, the share of long-term insurance in the total amount of collected insurance premiums, insurance density indicator, the level of insurance benefits and others. It is proved that the modern insurance market is unstable. By analyzing the main indicators of the insurance sector of Ukraine, the typical problems and shortcomings of the insurance companies have been identified. It is determined that the formation of balanced insurance portfolios is an important strategic aspect for insurance companies in the process of ensuring their financial and economic security. Here are some key types of insurance portfolios. Conservative, diversified and aggressive insurance portfolios are characterized. Measures proposed and substantiated in Ukraine to improve the financial and economic security of insurance companies in the strategic perspective are proposed and substantiated. New insurance services for the domestic insurance market are presented, which would help maximize the profits of insurance companies and attract new customers.
