TRANSFORMATIONS OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT IN THE SPHERE OF BUSINESS ACTIVITIES IN THE DIGITAL AGE

Abstract

The article examines the features of the digital transformation of human resources management in the context of the digital economy. It was determined that the drivers, directions and consequences of the digital transformation of human resources management make up the main content of the research. It was found that five factors stimulate the digital transformation of human resources management in the concept: internal digital needs of customers, digital innovations in the industry, challenges of competitors, management of digital innovations and needs of the digital era. It is noted that the essence of the digital transformation of human resources management is implemented in the digital workplace, digital processes of human resources management and digital services for employees. Investment in human capital has always been considered a productive investment. The digital economy has increased the urgency of increasing labor productivity through the transformation of human management mechanisms. Companies that are actively implementing changes in HR management do not lose competitiveness in the market and occupy a leading position in their areas of activity. In general, the digitalization of human resource management has undergone certain evolutionary stages – from Personnel Management with a predominant accounting function to the Human Capital Management with an emphasis on creating competitive advantage. Companies cannot simply introduce new technologies and count on the positive results of business development, not taking into account the way of working and expectation of staff. Managers who change employees' thinking and bring up innovative culture in people, lay a solid basis for digital transformation. Digital organizations develop in several directions: enterprise, environment and enablement. Updated practices, supported by a new type of managers with a new way of thinking, help to strengthen and develop innovative teams. In the aspect of human resource management has capabilities, it provides digital transformation by offering technologies capable of controlling real-time labor performance, introducing innovations.
