Abstract

Information transformation of the economy creates new conditions, opportunities, prospects, and risks of enterprise development. Without understanding the trends in the paradigm shift in the interpretation of entrepreneurship, it is impossible to ensure effective corporate governance, which led to the study's relevance. The purpose was to clarify the concept of «entrepreneurship» and determine the features of entrepreneurial activity in terms of informatization of the corporate sector. The methodological basis was the terminological analysis method used to clarify the essence of the entrepreneurship concept in terms of corporate informatization. According to the study results, we have determined differences in the functional characteristics of entrepreneurial activity in the traditional and information economy. The subjective component of the studied category has been clarified, given the change in the functional element of entrepreneurship. Based on the consideration of the entrepreneurship concept in classical economics and modern scientific concepts, the general main characteristics of business entities in terms of economic, social, psychological components are identified. Determined the changes trends in the priority of critical characteristics of the entrepreneur in terms of informatization of the corporate sector. Established that the main factors of corporate sector development in the information economy are such characteristics of the entrepreneur as creativity and innovation, quality education and continuous knowledge generation, perseverance and focus, sociability and resilience, ability to establish business relationships, independence, self-sufficiency, development of partnership, obtaining economic benefits. The terminological analysis provided an opportunity to clarify the content of the «entrepreneurship» in terms of informatization of the corporate sector by combining subjective and functional approaches, which is the theoretical basis for practical research to ensure effective corporate governance in Ukraine.
