MONITORING THE RESULTS OF THE OPERATION OF CONSTRUCTION ENTERPRISES AS A BASIS FOR ASSESSING ECONOMIC SECURITY
Abstract
The results of monitoring the activities of construction companies in Ukraine as an information and analytical basis for assessing their economic security have been presented in the article. Acting as a kind of indicator of the level of economic development of the country, the construction industry is able to serve as a driver of economic growth in general. However, this requires first of all to ensure an appropriate level of economic security of construction companies. On the basis of quantitative and analytical monitoring tools, the diagnostics of the results of functioning of construction enterprises has been carried out according to the following indicators: dynamics of gross value added created in the construction industry; dynamics of the number of enterprises in the construction industry; dynamics of the indicator of sales volumes for construction and its share in the total volume of sold products in Ukraine; dynamics of capital investments in the construction industry and the share of this indicator in the total capital investments in Ukraine; dynamics of the average number and average monthly salary of full-time employees of construction companies; dynamics of the share of unprofitable enterprises of the national economy and construction; dynamics of profitability of construction enterprises and enterprises of Ukraine; dynamics of the cost of capital of enterprises in the construction industry and the share in the total cost of capital of enterprises of Ukraine. According to the results of the analytical study, it has been stated that there is a tendency to increase the main indicators-stimulators of construction companies, but not enough to increase the share of the industry in the structure of Ukraine's GDP. It has been established that the problem in the functioning of construction enterprises is clearly traced by the main relative indicators based on the calculation of their share in the relevant indicators of the national economy of Ukraine as a whole. There are also similar trends in the industry compared to the national economy, which indicates a significant vulnerability of construction companies to changes in the external environment and threats to their economic security.
