Abstract

The article explores aspects of assessing and forecasting the production potential of agricultural enterprises in the conditions of war in Ukraine. The purpose of the study is to assess the efficiency of utilizing the production potential of agricultural enterprises in the conditions of war, as well as the effectiveness of using available production resources, particularly in the frontline regions of Ukraine. During the research, the relevance of studying the production potential of agricultural enterprises in the context of war and the need for further research were established. The impact of military actions on the state of production potential and the efficiency of using existing production resources by entrepreneurial structures in the field of agricultural commodity production, especially in the frontline regions of Ukraine, was determined. The dynamics of production and the area of agricultural land occupied by the production of individual crops for the years 2021-2022 were studied, and relevant conclusions were drawn. The change in the average yield of individual agricultural crops in the frontline regions for the years 2021-2022 was investigated, and corresponding conclusions were made. The shares of losses and damages by their types in agricultural enterprises of Ukraine (in million US dollars) for the period 2021-2022 were determined, and relevant conclusions were drawn. Predictive indicators of total losses caused by the military actions of the Russian Federation against Ukraine as of 2023 in the crop and livestock sectors were identified. The efficiency of using production resources and assets in the crop and livestock sectors was studied, and relevant conclusions were drawn. Generalized conclusions regarding the current organizational and economic status of economic entities in the crop and livestock sectors were formed.
