DOMESTIC ENTREPRENEURSHIP UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF MARITAL STATE: MAIN TRENDS AND METHODS OF SUPPORT
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the main trends and methods of supporting domestic entrepreneurship in the conditions of martial law. It has been established that the business sector of Ukraine is vulnerable to war events: according to the results of 2022, almost 20% of business entities have ceased their activities, but most enterprises continue to look for methods of adaptation to new circumstances, attract reserves to support their vital activities. The financial stability of business in the conditions of war is analyzed. The state of entrepreneurship, key changes in the organization of the business sector that took place as a result of the introduction of martial law were studied; the impact of war events on the dynamics of enterprises is summarized. It was established that only 5% of business entities had financial reserves, the volume of which is sufficient to support activity for more than a year; a significant share of respondents (29%) had no reserve capital at all, which was compensated by cuts and reduced wages. The state of business activity of enterprises compared to the pre-war level is analyzed. It was found that large business showed greater resistance to shocks and almost 90% of business entities continued to work with full or reduced capacity, which is uncharacteristic for small and medium-sized enterprises. The main problems that negatively affect the state of entrepreneurship in the conditions of war are considered, in particular, interruptions in the supply of electricity, water and heat, danger to workers due to the intensification of shelling, problems with logistics, lack of labor as a result of mass migration, lack of fuel, destruction production facilities, damage to property as a result of active hostilities, corruption. Emphasis is placed on the need for enterprises to use crisis management strategies in wartime. The support implemented by the government of Ukraine was analyzed, in particular the relocation of business, which made it possible to save a certain percentage of economic entities, financial support of economic entities in order to prevent their mass bankruptcy.
